As a Sciences Lab/Tech Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and
technological advancements within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance to
scientists, researchers, and technicians in conducting experiments, gathering data, and analyzing results. This

Responsibilities:
Laboratory Support: Assist scientists and technicians in setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment,
instruments, and materials necessary for experiments and research activities.
Experiment Assistance: Collaborate with research team members to carry out experiments, following established
protocols and procedures. This may involve preparing samples, measuring and recording data, and conducting tests
or observations.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and organize data generated during experiments, ensuring accuracy and
adherence to specific protocols. Assist in data analysis and interpretation, using appropriate software and tools
under the guidance of senior researchers.
Literature Review: Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on the latest scientific advancements,
methodologies, and techniques relevant to the research projects. Summarize and present relevant information to
the research team.
Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments, observations, and results. Ensure proper
documentation and cataloging of samples, protocols, and other pertinent information.
Laboratory Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to proper
handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials and waste.
Collaborative Environment: Collaborate effectively with team members, including scientists, researchers, and
other assistants, to support the overall research objectives. Communicate findings, challenges, and progress in
a clear and concise manner.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and
instruments. Coordinate with the appropriate personnel to ensure their proper functioning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, etc.) or equivalent
experience.
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific methods, and research protocols.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments commonly used in scientific research.
Proficient in data collection, analysis, and presentation using software and tools (e.g., Excel, statistical
analysis software, etc.).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and document findings.
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt to changing research needs.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and ability to follow them diligently.
Experience with literature review and summarizing scientific research papers is a plus.
