Biosafety Lab Internship

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing and enforcing biosafety protocols and procedures.
• Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials according to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory safety equipment, including biosafety cabinets and personal protective equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper labeling of biohazardous materials.
• Participate in biosafety training sessions and ensure compliance among lab personnel.
• Coordinate with research teams to assess potential biosafety risks in experiments.
• Prepare and update biosafety documentation and records.
• Respond to and manage biohazard incidents and accidents.

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in a relevant academic program, with a focus on biosafety, microbiology, or related fields.
• Knowledge of biosafety guidelines and protocols.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to handle biohazardous materials safely and responsibly.
